Yay Flinders St Station - fond memories and a wonderful bit of Victorian architecture. When I was a teenager I would often meet my friends  'under the clocks'

It looks like it's had a night out on the town - maybe apply a bit of lens profile correction  to straighten it up.?

Re: E-M5/60mm macro's

You must stop posting these superlative shots - I'm getting depressed. I'm glad that you don't post any architecture stuff or I'd never pick up a camera again.

The Sports Illustrated type model, or the decoy type?

Know what you mean. But I think the girl shot is more successful.

The second methinks. I have never seen Sports Illustrated <shuffles awkwardly>.

Nice macros - I like the last one the best.

Did you use flash? It looks like you did not.

Cheers Scott, no flash used, in fact the flash unit is still in the box. i may look to see if a third party ring flash unit is available.

Got a lot to learn, but it's fun trying.

Re: *** This Week Through YOUR m4/3 2014.08.23 ***

Very nice, you managed to capture one with perfect wings and the bokeh BG looks lovely. For all my macro's i try to get as "square on" as possible and use f4 - f5.6..........if the BG is clear then maybe f7.1 or f8 providing its good light.

Prairie Flowers

in a German park.

The first 2 pictures show what my latest acquisition, the Minolta MC 2,7/35, can do. It is prone to flare, bokeh of highlights is very busy and the lens is about as sharp as my sample of the 14-45 @35mm, but I finally understand what it means, that it "renders beautifully".

Re: Clouds

LOvely pictures - clouds in the mountains revealing here a slope, there a peak ... IMO give better pictures than just plain sunny weather.

Yes, the first is pretty. The last looks like a giant fly on a bald man's head.
