these are taken with the 50-200mm & EC14,  it was a windy day which made it challenging to keep things in focus

a little tighter crop of previous shot

Cobweb Spider (Enoplognatha sp.). Carapace shiny and translucent. Body about 1 cm.

Picturewing Fly (Delphinia picta). A small fly with a large snout. First I've seen of this species.

All were with E-M1, 60mm mZD macro, flash, handheld.

Re:Help with ID, Bee maybe?

While entertaining my grandson for a few days we drove to Conowingo dam, known for frequent sightings of Bald Eagles. Did not see an eagle but found this

Looks like...

…a Robber Fly who's holding his latest capture. The poor victim might be a tiny metallic Green Sweat Bee (but hard to see). Hope it's not the Green Bee in Drummer's beautiful shot (above).;-)

Darn! Beat me by a few seconds.

Is a "Cannibal Fly" the same as "Robber Fly"?

Ladybug feast

When first spotted, I thought I had a ladybug laying eggs. Once I had the gear set up so I could see it, I saw it was eating them.

Hey Brad

Just dealing with life unfortunately. Illness in both families have kept us pretty busy and the WCU is in good hands, so I have been giving the cameras a rest.

Thanks for keeping the WCU alive.

Bull Frogs

Here are a couple of bull frogs that I was finally able to catch.  The pictures were taken at the Cherie Valley Hunting area over by Duval Washington.

Neither image has been cropped they are full size.

Enjoy.
