The spelling mistake police.

True, excessive zeal can be used - but really, how hard is it to learn (as a minimum) complement vs. compliment, and discrete vs. discreet?

Stop fretting over grammar and go out to take some pictures already!

Here's a spelling error I just read on another forum (his entire post):-

"Grate shots!"

This does grate a little (on some, if not all!) - add great (not grate), plus lens (not lense) to that minimum list.

Now I'm off to tell that guy to write out one hundred lines using "great" and "grate" correctly.

Not saying "thank you"
10

When someone asks a question, and maybe several people take time to give what are intended to be helpful replies (not just RTFM or something patronising)...

...And the OP can't be bothered to acknowledge the replies with a "thank you", or worse: replies critically because the answers weren't what he or she wanted.

Courtesy costs next to nothing, and brightens the day of both receiver and giver.

After someone asks a specific question about some gear then asks specifically for comments from someone who actually owns and uses that gear:

"I don't own (xxxx) but I've heard (read)..."

Especially when the OP posts no response at all.
