How to set a low shutter speed limit on GX7 using auto ISO?

Hi! I'm an owner of two OM-D E-M1s with battery grips, two E-PM2s and one E-PL5 (it's a matter of another topic why so many cameras). Today I bought a GX7 because I desperately need something to speed up my autofocusing with my 45mm f1.8, 75mm f1.8 and 35-100 f2.8 in dim light. I was just about to buy the Panasonic 42.5mm f1.2 but then I tested it on the GX7 as well as on my E-PL5 and found that the former is a killer in therms of AF speed.

I'm used to working with auto ISO in A mode. I set a low shutter speed limit on all of my Olympus bodies to 1/320"s (so did I also on my previous system with Nikon D3 and D3s). This method works great. The Panasonic, though, doesn't seem to allow such setting and always sticks to 1/100". This is ridiculous and tells me that Panasonic's engineers have developed this feature (as well as many others) without consulting a real photographer.

So the question is - do you know of a way to make the GX7 use a higher shutter speed than 1/100" with auto ISO?

I'm also trying to find a way to contact Panasonic for other reasons but I don't seem to find a way. Can you recommend a reliable way of contacting them?

The GX7 advanced manual seems to recommend using shutter priority and intelligent ISO. Have you tried this? I don't know why the two manufacturers should have different limit settings, though.

Thanks for the idea! I have not tried that. I will test that option and will share the result.

Re: How to set a low shutter speed limit on GX7 using auto ISO?

I gave it a try and immediately the issue of having to adjust the settings constantly came up - I may want the lowest shutter speed to be 1/320" until the camera runs out of ISO flexibility but I would like it to choose a higher speed when needed. When I'm at shutter priority, I have to constantly balance the speed in order to help the camera use the wide open aperture. This is not practical.

Now I see what the camera is doing - it's trying to match the shutter speed to the 35mm equivalent focal length. With the 35-100 it holds 1/200" when I zoom to 100mm and it keeps 1/80" when zoomed out t 35mm. So Panasonic only needs to add an override option or just a setting where I set a minimal shutter speed regardless of the focal length.
