Like the second very much.

In the first, I would cut away the car (extreme right)

Both very nice. Agree with above comment re: car. Like the way the clouds fly out of the shot and are reflected in the water.

I used MS ICE a lot with original DP2, but only tried a few 2 and 3 frame stitches with DP2M due to file sizes.

Nice of Microsoft to provide a useful piece of software free.

I think I like PART of the first one too. I think I would do this with it:

Nice panoramas of a spectacular landscape.

It took me a while to find the car in the RHSide and yes, not a lot is lost by cutting it out.

However, guys, if we are getting down to this level of editing I would suggest cloning out the two discarded clear bottles on the lower edge of the RHSide of image two as well.

Keep the good shots coming to relieve the boredom of 'Quatromania'.

Cheers.

Re: Norway panoramas

Both are kind of nice, although a bit too wide, and a little cropping could help.

The second one is of better quality for sure, given the camera has more resolution.

I noticed that the first one has a stitching error, and I'm not sure whether this is due to ICE or to original images.

I just started experimenting with ICE myself (see example below) , and it's rather fast, but it doesn't provide options to correct stitching errors/problems as you can do in Canon's PhotoStitch, e.g.

Thanks

I agree, it's a nice crop. On the other hand the car gives a hint of the magnitude of the place.

Thanks for the comment.

Thanks for the comment. I must admit I hadn't noticed the bottles until now

Re: Norway panoramas

Thanks for the comment. I must say I like ICE very much. It's rather fast indeed and on most occasions I get good results with the first attempt. When there is a stitching problem it's mostly due to the original image and in that case I've not been able to correct it with other software, so, I'm happy with ICE so far.

Have you tried PhotoStitch from Canon? When the stitch isn't quite right, you can correct it with points of mutual overlap. Of course, I know that when the originals aren't quite right, no software can easily "fix" it.

This is a beautiful shot! Reminds me of my SD10. I don't have it anymore, but I loved the colours.
