While the camera plays a roll, it can only see so much.  It is the eye behind the camera that puts it all together and that is where your ability as the photographer comes into to play;-)

I really like the 4th photo.

Great! I knew that the 30-110 is a valuable lens. I should use it more!

All very nice. Processed in LR?

Thanks! No LR, I'm a lazy sort. These are jpeg with a little PP in PS Elements 8. I confess that I have tried to learn processing raw but I get frustrated when I can't get them to look as good as a jpeg; anyone want to tutor me? Frankly, I'm pretty happy with what I get most of the time.

I also use JPG most of the time, always try to get the shot perfect when taken with little need for pp, Peter

Thanks Wayne! Didn't use a polarizer even though I had one with me, just a generous amount of negative exposure comp. Are you resisting the urge for the new 70-300?

Resisting the CX 70-300? Nope - that thing is way to wimpy and small for me. This guy definitely prefers lugging around the humungoid DX version - no wimpy CX version for me! (I'll keep telling myself that for as long as I can lol!)

Cheers,
Wayne

I want one very much but the budget says no right now   Two years ago the family gifted me a V1 and kit lens at full price, so maybe if I drop enough hints now till Christmas I'll get lucky
