Hi Joel,

I do the same around here, a walk, a camera with choice of 1 lens, and a stop for coffee somewhere along the way.

The 40-150 results in great looking images. Nice color, good work.

Very nice!   Is the fourth one an artichoke?  I've never seen one blooming!

The first looks almost like you used a miniature effect...what an interesting set of buildings.  I would explore those more, if I was there.

Thanks for looking.  Yes, it's an artichoke.  If you don't pick them when they are young, they begin to flower and then go to seed.  No longer edible, quite tough, but look really cool, I think.  The buildings are all part of an "on the beach" motel named The Venetian that has some efficiency apartments as well.  Very fun to stay there and very popular.
