Kenko Macro Auto Extension Tubes, set of 3 for MFT, is this for real?

Hi folks,

This is my first ever posting to DPReview, so apologies if I hit the wrong group or if this has already been discussed.

I've been hunting around for a set of three Kenko auto extension tubes to use with my lovely 60mm macro and OMD EM1. All I've been able to find up to now are sets of two extension tubes (10 and 16mm) that fit micro-four-thirds, while sets of three (10, 20 and 36mm) are available for Canon, Nikon and Sony.

Yesterday, I found this on e-bay:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Kenko-DG-Extension-Tube-Set-12mm-20mm-36mm-Tube-Set-for-MFT-Micro-Four-Thirds-/191230345756?pt=UK_Photography_CameraLenses_Lens_caps_hoods_adaptors_ET&hash=item2c8637821c

This is the only place I've seen these. Even on Kenko's own website there aren't any sets of three auto extension tubes that fit MFT.

I contacted the sellers and they were as clear as they could be (given that their first language is Korean) that this was definitely a set of three for MFT, even thought their photo shows the Nikon model.

Has anyone got a set of Kenko Extension tubes that fit MFT?

Thanks, Jon.

There certainly do exist macro extention rings for MFT. However, they typically come in a set of two, 10mm and 16mm, like this:

However, I have never seen the set of three that you refer to. I don't think that specific set exists for MFT, so I would stay away.

This is what B&H lists for MFT.

Just a set of 2 tubes.

Kenko makes a set of two for M4/3.

This might help, SRB advertises a set:

They have been in business a long time and exhibited at the NEC Photography Show. I have no connection with them.

I just got a Kenko set of two. I looked for a little bit, but all the ones with eletronic connectors for mFT were sets of two, but Peter shows at least one no name 3 piece set for mFT. If I knew about it before, I might have bought it...

Which leads to my question: why does mFT mostly have sets of 2, while other dSLR mounts usually have sets of 3? Is it a mFT vs other mount issue, or a copycat what's out there, and Kendo was the first, and it had 2?

Could it be the size of the format ..

It looks like 10, 20, and 36 are for larger formats only, and mFT (Nikon 1, etc) have different scaling,

..

I still have Kenko's in Nikon mount, I used it with adapter on FT camera in the past, nothing special really. I think Raynox is more interesting from what I have seen, or even Canon 500D on macro lens.

The two tube Kenko combination (10mm and 16mm) works great.

This ebay ad looks to be very poorly put together. The tubes are marked C/AF, which I would interpret to mean Canon, says they are for Nikon digital and film cameras in the body of the ad and there is no Kenki 3 auto tube set for Micro Four-Thirds.

Not only would I not buy these, I'm not sure I'd bother giving this seller any business if they cannot be more accurate with what it is they are actually selling.
