Concert Photography with Canon 55-250mm f/3.5-5.6

Hi,

I am going to a live concert the next week, so I have some queries.

Will the Canon 55-250mm lens be good?

The camera is a rebel T3i.

And what settings should i use?

Canon EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS II Canon EOS 600D (EOS Rebel T3i / EOS Kiss X5)

Hi,

it is hard to tell without some additional information about what type of concert it is and where it will played. In concert halls, ISO 1600, F4, 1/160 is usually my starting point (in manual mode).

I shoot RAW, watch out for highlight clipping on the screen, and usually push the exposure in post.
