The first post I (Roger Cicala) made on sensor-stack thickness wallowed deeply in PhotoGeekery. This one is meant to be of practical use so I’ll try to leave the Geek stuff out. We’ll start with the simple facts.

Sensor Stack Thickness: When Does It Matter?

I haven't really read either article (headline skimmer ... moi?), after noticing that one or both seem "over my head". It might be interesting for some of the optical engineers and/or scientists on this forum to provide feedback to LensRentals.
