New Pen cameras coming soon?

Hi guys!

Has there been any news or hints/leaks about new Pen bodies due soon?

The current range of Pen bodies have been out for awhile and i notice some have been recently removed from the oly site -here in australia at least. Add to that the current cashback promotion and other discounting, and it looks likely they are preparing to release new models.

Btw,i just got an terrific deal on an E-pm2 +14-42  ! It was discounted down to $300 as well as being eligible for a $100 cashback.  End result AU$200 for a great little camera and lens!

I suspect that Olympus will limit the number of PEN's to sell more EM10's.  There is a market for both.  I purchased a refurbished EPL2 for my daughter a year ago and she loves it.

Rumor has it that an E-PL7 is going to be released this summer.  Just maybe like the E-PL6 it will not have world-wide distribution.  No other rumors on any other Pen cameras.  in an interview with an Olympus official it sounds like they are developing the OMD line and not going to do much with the Pen line.

there is supposed to be an E-PL7 coming soon. it looks like an E-PL5 but with the guts (sans EVF) of the E-M10. there are leaked images floating around the internet (43rumors.com) of a diagram from the manual.

Sales of the Pen series have apparently been disappointing, so we may not see another on world wide release.

As others stated, an E-PL7 is coming out soon. It's not clear yet if it has the 3-AXIS IBIS of the E-M10 or the old IBIS from the previous E-PL5.

The E-PMx line is being discontinued.

The E-P5 is still considered the top-of-the line PEN and will probably not be replaced for another year.

Thanks guys.Since i posted this i've found a little more info. Most think Olympus will announce any new Pens at the same time as the e-pl7

Some of you kind of imply that the Pens will be reduced or ignored a little by olympus in future.I hope that's not the case!

The PENS aren't selling as well as the OMDs, so it's unlikely that Olympus will have more new PENs than OMDs.

I think that Olympus is going to retreat to a four-camera lineup, 2 OMDs (E-M1 and E-M10) and 2 PENs (E-PL7 and E-P5, the latter probably will be replaced with a new model in the first half of 2015).
