Devils River

I wanted to share some shots from a weekend trip out to Devils River. I am quite impressed at how my K-5 IIs handled the conditions and the detail I was able to pull out of the night shots is wonderful. I used StarStaX, a very handy freeware program, for the star trail shot. I used a Rokinon 8mm f/3.5, Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8 and Rokinon 85mm f/1.4 for these shots (some of the EXIF data is off because I neglected to input the proper FL after swapping lenses). Enjoy!

Thank you! Yes, I specifically planned the trip on a New Moon weekend for nice clear star shots.  I used my Rokinon 8mm fisheye for that shot at f/4... the IQ at f/3.5 is a bit muddy.  I would like to print it but I'll have to work a bit more on cleaning up all the noise, being an ISO 6400 shot.
