Oly E-PM2 vs E-PL5 screen

Hi,

Has anyone compared directly the LCD screen quality of these two PENs? I've read somewhere that the screen on E-PL5 is better (not because it articulates) but couldn't find any more info on the matter. The reason I'm asking is that I am seriously considering the E-PM2 but it is now almost the same price as E-PL5 and while I don't care about articulating screen a better Q one would be nice.

Thank you

The only thing different about the EPL5 screen is that it articulates. I've used them both, and could not tell a difference between them (and they have the same viewing 16:9 ratio and size).

To get a larger useable view in normal 4:3 format, you would have to go to a different camera, such as any of the OMDs or the EP5, or any of the Panasonics (including the GM1) (They all use 3:2, not 16:9 screens).

I agree with Jalywol - they're the same, except that the E-PL5's screen articulates.  The difference in quality that you might recall reading about is compared with their predecessors, the E-PM1 and E-PL3 - though on paper the screens are the same, aside from the addition of touchscreen facilities, the image on the screen of the newer models is noticeably clearer and punchier.
