Some wiildfolwers from my hike at Reddbutte (SX50)

Here are some wildflower shots I took on a hike at a nearby canyon.

Some of the critters from the same hike are in this thread;

Thanks for looking.

Very nice set of your many local wild flowers Evan. You can see how some of those flowers were cultivated and are now regular garden flowers.

It must be a pleasure to see all that colour on your hike.

Cheers,

Rob.

Hi Evan

A lot of beautiful flowers there.

Did you shoot them at full wide and then heavily crop them down?

Great shots.  Especially nice exposures.  Your EXIF didn't give exposure setting. And was MACRO setting used?  Did you work the exposure in post, or is this pretty much OOC?

Not only a beautiful selection of wildflowers Evan, but even better, provided by the grace of Nature and you don't have to tend the gardens. You have the best of many worlds, and the talent and kindness to share it with us.

Thank you for looking Rob, you are right, some of these flowers have been cultivated to grow in gardens. Or Vice versa in some cases.

It is very nice to see some color after six months of nothing but grey, brown, white, and blue.

Thanks again Rob, glad you liked them.

I shot some at full wide, and some zoomed. No heavy cropping. I shot at 4:3 and cropped them to 3:2.

Thanks for looking and commenting Mario, glad you liked them.

Thank you Bob.

The day was mostly overcast.

White balance was set at Day Light.

Exposure bias was set at -1/3

Macro setting was used on all shots, even on zoomed shots

I did a little bit of exposure work in post.

Hope that helps. And thanks for looking.
