EX1/TL500 Photos, Jay's Bike and Yellow and Blue
1

I put the Nikon D800 away for awhile and have been on a Samsung EX1 binge:)  Here's a couple of shots taken this Spring. (Ignore the exif dates, they're wrong but I'm too lazy to correct the settings.)

Can you spot the photographer in "Jay's Bike" ?

Yellow and Blue:  http://www.pbase.com/jmelillo/image/155779524/original

Both files were shot in raw and processed with Photoshop.  Thanks for looking!

Great shots and yes, see you in the lower circular area of the engine housing!

I have an EX2F and love it. Awaiting the EX3F, but not holding out much hope.

To Mr. Taikitso:

Thanks for the feedback! What features would you like to see in an upgraded EX3?

Hello Joe

For me I would like to see a decent EVF and an integrated lens cap and perhaps a tiltable flash like the RX from Sony.

Nice shots, and isn't is great to use the little EX1 after toting around a heavier camera!

I lost the lens cap from one of my EX1s, so, belatedly, I bought one of those automatic lens covers. I wish that I'd got one two years ago as it is so good to simply press the power button and be ready to shoot. They do let a little bit of dust onto the lens but it is easily removed.

Hi Christian. I agree with your list and would add faster processing time for raw files. Of course I'd love some additional dynamic range headroom and an extra stop of usable ISO but small sensors have their limits. With the EX1, I'm comfortable with printing up to 12 by 16 inches at ISO 400 if the light was decent, and after applying some noise reduction. The bike photo was taken at 400.

The NX mini might be interesting.

I'm not sure where Samsung's camera lineup is heading. The new premium lenses, like the 85mm, look great, but will be heavy, maybe too heavy for the NX30. Perhaps we haven't seen Samsung's flagship camera yet?
