Number 46
2

I went into a local restaurant the other afternoon. I placed my order at the register and, even though I was the only patron in the restaurant, they felt obligated to give me "a number." So I walked to my table and waited for what seemed a long while for being their solitary customer. I had plenty of time to let my mind imagine cosmic possibilities and consider my place in the universe; apparently it's #46. I wonder who the 45 are in front of me?

Then I ate lunch.

Lovely colors, James.

For some reason, I get a mad urge to tilt this picture to about 30 degrees, the kind of thing I very rarely do and then not particularly well. But this pic seems to cry out for it. What do you think?

Cheers, geoff

It goes to show that image and story can be the winning result. I now ask myself what is my number

I think the placard would slide off the table if I tilted this image 30 degrees.
