NX300 reports from the field
1

I'd trade the touch screen for a second control dial in a heartbeat.  Should have waited for NX3000 because I want the power zoom too, but my NX200 died and I needed a camera.  I guess high ISO IQ is better, but frankly NX200 was perfectly fine for me.  Performance isn't very much faster, but I don't have a class 10 card in.  Still occasional "processing" messages and unresponsiveness.  Guess I'll upgrade FW.

Rating: meh

Maybe they'll release a 30mm with iFn....

Yeah, the NX300 is better in some ways, but the smaller buffer doesn't help.  It was just small enough that shooting several RAW shots back to back is a bit irritating.  I don't have the issue with the NX30 which I am happy about.  Hopefully the NX3000 has similar improvements to NX300.

I did miss rear control dial on NX300, and it is unfortunate the NX300M didn't end up with one as was rumored, and maybe even mentioned in a press release, don't remember anymore.

If you get used to some of the touch screen functions they can be very helpful, mainly changing focus points quickly or even touch to shoot for subjects where you want very little movement between when the focus is done and the camera takes the picture.

There is a reason I switched the the NX30 immediately when it came out though
