GH4 1080P quality?

Could someone with GH4 and GH3 test if GH4 1080P is any better than in GH3. GH4 has 100mbs and 200mbs modes but is the result sharper and better looking in good light. High iso is better in GH4 but I havent seen many good comparisons of 1080P quality at iso200. I want to shoot 1080/60P so using 4k is not an option for everything.

Watch the review on the m4/3 rumor site.

Watch the review from DigitalRev posted on the m4/3 rumor site yesterday; it touches on that your question.

4K -> 1080p

Simply record everything in 4K and batch convert to 1080p.  One review pointed out that most video cameras only reach around 800 lines of resolution, but the GH4 4K video converted to 1080p is right at 1080 lines of resolution.  Noise and other artifacts will be less too.

Re: GH4 1080P quality?

You are not helping me praising 4k benefits. I like to know about GH4 1080P quality.

I found this:

Seems that Gh4 is a bit better but not perfect. I would like to know if anyone with GH3 and GH4 could see the difference. I am not sure if I want to invest so much money for very small improvement especially when many says that GH4 autofocus in video is bad and photo autofocus is better only with newest expensive lenses.

Almost anyone using the GH4 who wants 1080P will shoot 4K and quickly convert it with free software or whatever they typically use. The resulting 1080P video will have up to 30% more resolution over most other cameras (even though both are 1080P). You don't even need the latest SD cards.

If you are concerned with IQ this is the clear way to go.  I know you want 1080/60p, but I think you will find the converted 1080p at 30 fps looks better.

Also, in good light I don't have any issues with auto focus.

I am going to watch 4K 30P clips with 4K TV, not downconverted. I just will shoot fast moving things too and untill 4K 60P is possible I must use 1080 60P.

So you never watch sports on NBC or CBS?  Interesting.

Too bad because 4K down converted is significantly better than any current 1080/60p

Why just 60P; doesn't the GH4 go up to 200, or something like that? (nt)

60P is the fastest "quality" fps in GH4.

30P is ok for most situations.

60P is better for sports or fast moving things like flying birds or fast cars or playing children.

I found this to be an interesting watch {maybe you have already seen it though}.

It does has some 1080p comparisons between the gh3 and gh4.
