Complicated and not being able to open video are different things. Software is so crappy that cannot even show list of files.

If you think that's crappy I guess I should suggest Cyberlink PowerDirector then... that usually scores high for ease of use and is 4k compatible.

Cyberlink PowerDirector is different way crappy. It crashes a lot, for example on white balance change, and lack of simple features like sound normalization.

HI, I just need an editor that can edit/trim the 4k (MOV format) and save as 4k (MOV) or 1080 FHD.

The 4k video is very big in file size and I would like to trim it with no loss (if possible) in quality and archive them.

thanks

Hi!

I highly reccomend Lightworks www.lwks.com

There is a free version with some features missing, and a PRO version that's around $60-70 for annual license. There was also a Pro version trial, but I do not see it anymore on the web.

It's easy to use and learn and very powerfull. On their website there is a support forum and a big community eager to help.

Just look at some of the work edited and cut in lightworks: Lightworks spotlight

Cheers!

Have you tried to read question or even title first?
Lightworks doesn't support 4k neither free nor pro.

Yes it does, 4K realitime editing no problem if your computer is up to the task.

Maby older version does not support 4k, but latest 11.5.1 64bit version handles 4k nicely.

Free version should also support 4k....but exporting videos is limited to 720p.

That means it does not support 4k

Free version does not support 4k for output, but you can still import files and play with it to see if it suites you.

It's a fantastic video editor used by many professionals in the field and for 60€ per year you actually get 2 licenses, one for your workstation and one for your notebook, so you can work both at home and in the field.

I'm only mentioning lightworks because it really offers a lot for what it costs and it is worth taking a look at.

There are few great (4K capable) NLE-s out there and Lightworks is just one of them.

Cheers!

You might try Joyoshare Video Trimmer . I installed it three months ago and it helps me losslessly trim and merge videos and audios easily. It can also convert, crop, rotate and rotate videos. It supports a wide range of formats, so I think it may help you.
