aiming a WP-DC34

I recently had an opportunity to do some underwater photography using my G11 in a WP-DC34 waterproof case.

Everything was fine except I sometimes found it hard to frame the scene correctly because the screen image was too pale in certain conditions. The view finder with a face mask is even worse.

I was wondering if anyone has knows of an external view finder that could help? Since there is no hot shoe, it would have to be something that can screw into the tripod socket. nothing fancy, I envision something that would curve around and over the top, sort of an open frame with front and rear cross-arms to show the general direction the lens is aimed at. Before I go and make one, it might be easier to buy something, at a reasonable price.
