DSTE batteries for Olympus

I have used Wasabi batteries in my Lumix G5 and they have worked well.

I am looking to pick up a couple of extra batteries for an Olympus E-PM2 that my wife ordered and was wondering if anyone has any experience with the DSTE third party batteries.

Thanks

Re: DSTE batteries for Olympus

I have 3 of them for my em5. They last better than the original Olympus batteries.

Thanks for the quick response! I am going to pick up a couple for the wife so she has them when she gets her camera next week.

She is looking forward to getting the Olympus, seems like it is a great little camera but still compact enough to put in her purse if need be.

I've not used them in my Olympuses, but I have used them in other cameras.  IMHO, it's one of the better 3rd party battery brands.

Same here - no problems in E-M5 and E-PL5

I also think they last better than the Olympus. I wouldn't use an unknown name, but these seem very, very good. I once had a Hahnel on my E-400 that didn't 'slide' out. It was expanding, so I ditched it after 5 years faithful service.

So far so good on my LX7 and my GM1. I bought the 2 pack (2 DSTE batteries + charger) for my LX7 over a year ago and still working as good as the original. I bought the 3 pack for my GM1 and so far no problem. Now I have DSTE 2 chargers and can charge 2 batteries at the same time.

Thanks for the responses. Seems like these are a good alternative to the Wasabi batteries.
