just the bokeh thing... it's a matter of taste, of course. but while there are some pictures with nice bokeh i think this isn't a domain where the 75/1.8 excels at. it's quite good, but not as good as it needed to win me over.

Certainly agree about bokeh being a matter of personal taste, but compared to the other MFT  lenses I've tried, I believe it excels.

I am and always have been interested in this lens. I have the panny 25 the oly 45 and would like to add this one but I have found since getting the oly 12-40 pro, I am using the primes less and less so really questioning if getting the 75 would give me anything that getting the upcoming 40-150 pro would not. So despite the fact that reviews like this one always make me want to give into gas, I think I am holding off to see what the quality of the 40-150 pro is going to look like

I also used to feel the same when I got the 12-40, but after the novelty wore off, I went back to using the primes because of the size/aperture benefits, while I also regularly use the 12-40, unlike the 12-50 I had before which was hardly used.

guess then using the 75 1.8 on an E-M1 with vertical grip may defeat the purpose of Ninja style photography

LOL, that's intimidating.

Everytime someone mentions ninja photography, I try to imagine a busy street at midday with an actual ninja trying to be stealthy and take pictures, cracks me up.

Probably would be considerd perfectly normal, not to say a little understated, in SF! LOL!

Cheers, geoff

Just to tempt you guys a little further: this lens is available as a factory refurb for $600 from Amazon. It's a total steal, but I have no money for it, so I'll just try to feel good for the lucky bastards who get their hands on it
