How many shoots can you take with a fully charge battery with X-T1

As title How many shoots can you take with a fully charge battery with X-T1?

With 60mm f2.4 MARCO, which focus on the slow side during MARCRO mode, our fully charge Ebay battery took only 270 shoots (within 2 hours).

Our X-T1 was using 70% brightness and LCD is on most of the time for reviewing shoot by shoot.

It really depends. I use Nikkor lenses only, shoot on tripods, and get far less than 270 shots per charge. I went through two batteries in a day plus another in less than half a day and wound up with around 300 shots. I also shot with flash another time and got about 100 shots without making the battery drain much. It really depends.

Thanks for the head up

we were surprise that we need to change battery within 2hours of shooting. And true it depends on how we use and in what situations

Yeah, that sounds about right. The X-T1 is hard on batteries, and the batteries are on the small side.

A few hints to improve battery life: You don't need to chimp, if it looks right in the viewfinder, and you can turn on the histogram to check exposure as well, you know what you are getting. Also, don't use the rear screen, use the viewfinder and have it set to eye sensor so it only comes on when you are looking through it.

You probably won't get more than 500 shots on a battery even doing that. Coming from Pentax, which is very good for battery consumption, the Fuji is a bit hard to get used to in this regard, but it is what it is. It's a battery hungry camera that can't house a big battery because of it's small size.

The battery grip can help a lot, but  I think a person needs half a dozen batteries for this camera if they intend to use it a lot.

200-300, depends of usage. I have bought 5 extra batteries from ebay for USD 39:- and the `problem´ is solved.

One thing to consider when buying batteries on Ebay is their capacity.

I have X-E1, and the 1900 Mah battery I bought, seems to last longer than the stock battery.  I haven't had them for long or done any tests though.

Look at the specs of what you are buying, it might be helpful to get the highest capacity you can.

I would say 150 average

The EVF  uses alot of power same for the screen

Disabling LCD and switching off between shots, not playing with the camera should lead to 200

yeah OEM battery is 1200 mah if your after market battery has 1900 mah you should be able to take 450-500 shoots in one charge

Those I bought from ebay is same as OEM 1200 mah only.

So avg fully charge 1200 mah battery for Xt1 should last 270-330 shoots then. I will try for few more weeks and hope all after market batteries are fine.

Fuji might consider doing something on firmware to make XT1 consuming less power

Or they should consider to make battery with larger capacity

I think that's quite good, when I purchased my x-pro1 I also bought 2 extra batteries, I think 3 should cover anything I can throw at them.

Today, I took 420 shots with the X-T1 and the 55-200, but didn't do a lot of chimping. Battery indicator shows 2 out 3 'bars' remaining.
