XE-2 firmware v2.0 and 60mm F2.4 lens

Updated the firmware last night on the X-E2, just tried it with the 60mm lens - took a couple of images then the camera gave me a message to turn it on and off. Did that but same message keeps appearing.

Took the battery out - turned it back on - got 1 frame out of it and same message.

It seems that whatever the camera locks focus with the lens - it crashes like a computer.

About to give up on it - tried it with the kit lens - 18-55mm - works fine with it. No problems so far - knock on wood. Tried the 35mm for a bit - no problems locking focusing.

Anyone else experience this issue with the new firmware and the 60mm lens?

I'm not having the problem. Is your 60mm's firmware up to date? It should be 3.10.

+1 for checking the lens firmware.

Also, you don't have some type of filter mounted on the 60mm do you? I experienced this same error with my 60mm after putting a Raynox 250 macro attachment on it. When the lens focusses it extends slightly and it was knocking into the step up ring I was using for it.

Just checked - the lens firmwire is v3.1, camera is v2.0

I don't have a filter mounted but I put the camera into macro mode and it seems to clear something and it seems to be working again - even in non-macro mode.

I also changed the lenses out a couple of times afterwards - maybe it was a bad connection or something. It appears to be working fine now but I am still not sure what caused the error in the first place.

Looks like it is the lens - the same message appeared on a job this weekend. Good thing this was not my primary camera and I had a macro lens with me for the primary system.

Just tried the lens on the X-T1 - same message.

Off to the Fujifilm headquarters this afternoon. Will see what they say.
