300mm lens for the Samsung NX 2000?

I have a Samsung NX2000 camera that I enjoy.  I am looking for a 300mm lens.  Any ideas?  Can anyone comment on the adapter rings that allow for Nikon or Canon lens to be added to the Samsung?  I am very happy with the camera just wish there were more lens choices for it.

Hi there Agal, nice to meet you. Well, as to your question, I have the Kiwifoto lesn adapter for Penatx PK to Samsung NX. But there are two types of adapter. One will allow you to use the exposure adjust ring on your lens. The other will NOT allow it, so be careful of the type that you purchase. As for the adapter itself, well it enables me to use my Pentax mount lenses, on my NX 300, and Galaxt NX cameras. It is a well made, solid item. But be aware that you will have no automatic functions whatsoever. It is a fully manual experience. But it is good fun, and gives us acess to a lot of other lens makers optics, a lot of which can be picked up at a very reasonable price. I hope that this has been of help to you.

I also have a Kiwifotos adapter for my NX300. It feels solid and works well. Mine is a M42/Pentax screwmount adapter. Ebay is brimming with M42 tele lenses but you can of course have a good manual focusing experience with any lens using the right adapter.

But be careful, my adapter wil not come off my Nikon DX 17-50.

I think the pics are amazing but can't try my other Nikon glass.

Thanks for the replies.  Why isn't Samsung making more lenses for their products?  A 300mm lens is not that out of the ordinary.  I'm disappointed.

Thanks for taking the time to reply. I just wanted to make sure that I was not missing an 300mm samsung auto lens for my NX2000.  I am not ready to go full manual yet.  Still learning and need the auto feature as my crutch.

I also have the Samsung NX 2000 and I am looking for the same information regarding adapters. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Actually, in full frame terms the 50-200 is reaching 77-308mm, there was a 300mm/2.8f ready for production, but that it would have costed thousands of euros(or $).

If extra reach is so valuable to you, you can try m4/3 withtheir 2X equiv. A 200mm becomes 400mm.

Front mounted conversion lens olympus tcon 17x gives you 340mm/5.6 lens with standard nx 50-200mm. There is a separate thread for that here on forum.

Re: 300mm lens for the Samsung NX 2000?

There seems to be a lot of misunderstanding around crop factor effect on focal length. To be clear, a 200mm lens remains a 200mm lens on any camera. Crop factor only affects field of view. So a 200mm lens on a micro 4/3 camera will have the field of view of a 400mm full frame camera (50% narrower). It still only gives you the same amount of image magnification (4x image magnification). Do doubt people will argue this point, but it remains a fact. The only way to get more focal length is to buy a longer lens and/or a teleconverter. Failing that crop.
