He probably meant for the part about wannabees to apply to both the dragon and the "doves."  Just in case though:

Seagull

Mourning Dove, only kind of dove I have a shot of actually.

Both taken with the 50-200mm as well.  It works for birding when you can get quite close, but ideally we still really need something longer in the NX arsenal.  I can't really express how many shots I have to discard just because the birds are still too small (and no, there is no way for me to get closer to these chance encounters).  It really is a lens more suited to the other uses someone else gave, portrait, wedding, maybe even some outdoor sports with some good light.  Getting good light is really the main challenge for using this lens outside of birding.

my explanation would be more kind of: oh, mistake

I have to admit that Ihave never felt much love for the 50-200 as it has two issue, as it is for one very heavy and on the alternate side limited on the wide open long end both aperture wise and regards sharpness, so those here are the first since three years that I shot that many with the telezoom

you need lot of light when using the 200mm

but it gets you great shots at 50mm and close distance with great contrast and saturation

The weight of this lens hasn't bothered me at all... but then again, I'm the fellow slinging around a Canon 75-300 on my NX300 as well, lol.  I use this lens primarily at 200, and yeah, I've been wishing for Summer every day I'm out shooting with it. Trying to get up to shutter speeds > 1/1000 for the birds at f/5.6 is bad enough, but I really want to be at least f/8.... still lots of trying has given me some success.
