Handheld Astrophotography With SX 50
All excellent shots. Did you photograph the moon in raw format? Thank you for sharing what this amazing camera is capable of.
Canon PowerShot SX230 HS
Canon PowerShot SX50 IS
I'm very impressed with your moon and Jupiter shots Frizzen.
To keep my brain active I'm looking forward to my next trip. So much to see yet and not enough time.
These were not shot RAW. I use C1 where I have everything programmed into that. I use C1 for
moon shots and planets, Nightmode for stars, TV mode with shutter set for 500/100 for action shots
Auto mode for indoor low light shots. Works GREAT!
Extremely amazing. What a camera and what a photographer!
You're without doubt the best astrophotographer all around this forum ! With the versatile SX50 camera you delight us with unbelievable images of distant planets and their moons!
Congratulations and thank you for sharing,
When I do use the tripod ,this is what I use. It is a old wood tripod with a Celestron Go-To head on it.
You can buy these on Ebay for under 60.00 dollars. Just select the object say Saturn from the menu
and it will point the camera at it. I use my telescope on it also. It uses a Vixen style dovetail. Has over
4000 objects programmed into it.
