Difference between Group AF and Dynamic 9-point AF?
What is the functionality difference between the D4S' Group AF focus mode compared to the Dynamic 9-point AF-C setting? I'm not fully understanding how the Group AF differs from the Dynamic AF. I thought in 9 point the AF point would move around on the outer edge of the focus point based on the subject's movement?
This may help:
According to my tests, Group AF tends to pick the point at which the subject is closer towards the camera, while 9-point AF tends to pick the center point out of the 9.
