i really like this shot, it is full of energy and movement, it lifts a coffee shop image up to a higher level.

Joan, Joan, Joan...this is a most sensational image! I'd classify it as a tableau vivant, as you have incorporated so many people, doing so many things simultaneously, while squeezed into a tight flat space, as if it were a stage. You have allowed all of the heads to be visible and present, facing all sorts of different directions; so many interactions and stories. There is a sense of the surreal due to the shutter drag, which creates movement in the pedestrians as well as a ghostly after-image due to, I assume, an automobile exiting stage left.

Composition, story, emotion and mystery - there is nothing more I want from this excellent picture!

Seeing this excellent picture I don't understand why the X-Vario has not become a bestseller , which it has deserved ! I am not as good a photographer as you, but i always was overwhelmed with the great quality of the X Vario pictures

Thanks - I agree the X Vario is great camera that is easy to carry and takes wonderful photographs.  Even though I have the A7R, I am going to get rid of the Cannon and kept the Leica.

It is fun camera to use with a great work flow.

Best,

Joan

I'm glad you enjoyed your evening Joan. You nailed the framing perfectly on this, and the energy and life just bursts out of the frame. The motion blur on the left ads to the excitement. But me being a Philistine and/or a miserable old git, the overall double image bothers me a bit.

Enjoying an X Vario myself I'd be interested in the EXIF info.

Best wishes
Mike
