screen protector size TG-1 vs TG-2?

I've just ordered a TG-2 refurb from Oly (on sale for $199).

Reading reviews, it sounds like the LED screen is easily scratched,so I'm thinking about adding a screen protector.

Very few options for the TG-2 from US sources, a few more for the TG-1.

1) have any of you US based TG-2 owners found a good screen protector?

2) have any of you who own,or have owned, the TG-1 and TG-2 any advice  to offer re whether the screen sizes are identical on both

ie, could I use a TG-1 screen protector on the TG-2?

TIA

Caroline,

I do not own either TG-1 or 2, but would like to offer this advice. I purchased (what was claimed to be) the ultimate screen protector for my XZ-1 shortly after I got my camera, and it was on my camera for about a year before it started to peal off. When I tried to remove it from the camera it left a residue on the camera screen that was not easy to remove. The point here is whatever brand, or material you use I would plan to replace it at least every six months.

Regards,

Larry C.

I use the Zagg Invisible Shield (meant for the TG-1) on my TG-2.  It works great, and is the right size (I believe they use the same lcd): Zagg TG-1 lcd protector

Re: screen protector size TG-1 vs TG-2?

I have a TG-1 and have never had a screen protector on it. I keep the camera in a baggie in a padded case when I'm carrying it. No scratches yet so far, despite a few accidental drops. The leather TG-1/TG-2 jacket case helps reduce "drops" because it gives a little better grip--the camera is a bit slippery--although the leather jacket does not totally protect from impact dings on the plastic corners. (I know this because, believe it or not, I was putting the camera into an Olympus padded tote bag, and adjusting the divider "bucket" to fit into the bag, when the bottom of the divider bucket separated and dropped the camera--again--onto the walkway. Another ding. Camera still works, though. Cosmetically it is not tough, but mechanically it is.)
