Cord for Flash Synch

Can someone please suggest me a 3rd party cheaper equivalent of Nikon SC-29 cable (to be used with D5200 and SB800).

Re: Cord for Flash Synch

I've not used the Vello but I had a few fails before I got one to work with D7000 and Nissin Di866.   The Nikon cable wouldn't recognise the flash was there and wanted to popup the camera flash.   A Lastolite did the same.   Eventually I sourced a Nissin cable and that works every time.   No reason at all why the others shouldn't have worked.
Nikon to Nikon should pose no problems - why not just buy the Nikon cable?

I had and then sold a SC-29, too restrictive for creativity and is limited to just one flash unit.

I suggest you investigate getting Yongnuo's YN622N-TX controller and YN-622N triggers. Much more convenient and relatively low cost. Here is some info - http://flashhavoc.com/yongnuo-yn-622n-tx-for-nikon-now-available/

Re: Go wireless

@John, looking for non-Nikon 3rd party to hopefully reduce the cost.

@Rockwallaby, thanks for the link. I will check.
