Re: [Rumor] NX F1 More Inforamtion and Image.

I can't follow the link where I am, but it looks neat. I hope it uses the same NX mount so I can use the 45mm f/1.8 as a nice portrait focal length on it, or the 85mm f/1.4 should make a nice telephoto.

I wonder which sensor they use, Sony, Aptina, or one of their own?

You can try below link.

http://www.slrclub.com/bbs/vx2.php?id=newproduct_samsung&divpage=1&no=4084

I doubt F1 will have NX mount. It has different flange back distance. Maybe NX mount convert adapter? Who knows.

It is not known who provides the 1" sensor, yet. The sensor spec. is quite close from RX100 Mk2. But, some detail specs don't match with Sony's.

We will see.

I wasn't interested at all in the NX F1 until now... If they can manage NX mount then I might just impulse buy it

Re: [Rumor] NX F1 More Inforamtion and Image.

You are right, there is no way that body profile is thick enough for an NX mount.  Maybe they use same electronics and have an extension tube type adapter for existing NX lenses?  They also have the comment "Short Flange Back".

Anyway, that does look like a great camera to carry, much more so than fairly thick Nikon 1.  Something more like RX100 with interchangeable lenses.  I like that.

Agreed.  In according to the slide, 9mm lens thickness is 12mm. Body thickness seems be around 15mm. So, Total thickness of F1 with 9mm lens would be slightly thicker than 1". That will be very nice to carry around.

I believe F1 would be very competitive against P&S cameras especially high-end  P&S, if the price settles in a range makes sense.

I hope F1 kit price is in reasonable range, some what around $350. Also, its lens prices are around $100 - $200 range. If so, F1 might be very great present for my daughter.

Glad that info is out in the open now, lol.  If I can use my current NX lenses with it somehow, then I'm most definitely getting one of these.  Maybe not right at release, but definitely with a few months.

Whoah, I didn't even read those numbers until just now.  Seriously 1/16000!?!, not like 1/6000?  And 22fps?, serious speed demon here if those are right, given those numbers I'm actually surprised to not see 60 fps for the 1080p.  Same image processor as NX300 and NX30, also as Galaxy NX.  Hmm, very interesting.  Also, built in flash, I don't actually see it in this photo, is there a hotshoe?  I do see some TBDs next to the stats in the link, maybe should have put those with the stats list here?  Thanks for bringing us this info!

Re: [Rumor] NX F1 More Inforamtion and Image.

Looks interesting and should do well if priced right, so good for NX overall. I think it's a bit confusing to call this an NX though if the mount is different.

I wonder why they decided to make it an interchangeable lens model? Judging from the recent interviews with execs from Fuji etc on here few people ever change the kit lens. An integrated lens might have made it cheaper or more expensive? (RX100 is expensive whereas Nikon 1 can be got very cheap).

Hmm, I wonder if maybe the body flange comes to 15.5 and we could use the Fotga extension tubes many of us have as an adapter, lol.  It would be convenient, but I doubt that it's the case.

Electronic shutter, definitely. I like it on my Panasonic GM1 - it makes the camera almost completely silent, you hear only how the diaphragm closes and opens. It has two disadvantages: banding under AC light and the rolling shutter effect. Not for sports.

22fps points to a decent readout speed, so the banding should not be a big problem. An NX lens adapter would make it extremely interesting.. for me. I want to put an NX 85mm on it!

I like it!  There is some serious technology packed into that tiny camera.  If the price is right, it could do very well.

Re: [Rumor] NX F1 More Inforamtion and Image.

Will impulse buy if it can use NX lenses.  I don't mind an official adapter.  It is too bad that these super-pancake lenses won't work on APS-C bodies though, given the flange distance.

I've seen some other sources that say no flash and 1/6000 shutter:

http://www.mirrorlessrumors.com/samsung-to-launch-the-nx-mini-the-world-smallest-interchangeable-system-camera

It's running Tizen by the way (I could be wrong here, but I'm pretty confident).

That slide is also interesting though because it mentions the sensor has back side illumination.  Maybe it's 1/6000 mechanical and 1/16000 electronic?

Anybody think there's a chance of a longer prime?

I've been seeing pictures of this odd little camera everywhere today, and I will confess to being intrigued.  The perfect pocket camera still eludes me ... The most interesting thing about this candidate is that it seems to offer a prime lens as an option, which would be novel to say the least in the pocket camera field.  However, the 24mm FOV is way too wide for me.  I can see why a pancake wide angle is an appealing choice from a packaging standpoint, but when even a camera phone offers me a 33 or 35 mm FOV. I can't see going even wider.

How 'bout the small sensor equivalent of a fast fifty, what would that be, a 19 or 20 mm?  Then, we're talking, especially if the body comes in a nice leatherette brown instead of the pink.

Any chance of there being a range of lenses for this camera?

Nikon has an 18.5mm for the 1 line, which is the same FOV as a 50mm on full frame.

I agree - hopefully Samsung will announce the development of a couple narrower primes and a telephoto zoom. Samsung did release a roadmap when they initially announced NX back in 2010 or so; it'd be nice if history repeats.

I wonder if Samsung has allocated the necessary resource to manage 2 different lens roadmaps.  I have my concerns.

Looks like Aptina to me. base ISO of 160 and max. shutter speed of 1/16000 identical to 10MP and 14MP Aptina sensors in the Nikon V1 and V2.
