Shooting in Varanasi with the X-Pro1
Here are some shots I recently took in Varanasi (Utar Pradesh, India) with my X-Pro1 & Touit 32mm.
The city is absolutely incredible, it seems to be in an other time dimension. To give you an idea of the local mood the fires in the pictures are those of the Burning Ghats (used for the open air cremation of dead bodies), and the nice guy with the skull is an Aghori Kapalik Baba: The Aghoris are members of an Hindu sect known to eat pieces of human bodies found in the Ganga River...
Many more pics are available on my 500px page (http://500px.com/Sebastien_Bey_Haut/sets)
Impressive work. And impressive pose for the second to last

Wow! Really great stuff.
You absolutely managed to bring us to Varanasi with these pictures. Some of the best stuff I've seen here so far.
Thanks for sharing..
Really excellent shots. Unfortunately, that Zeiss bokeh, particularly in the shot of the guy with the skull, is not my favorite (otherwise it's a great shot).
Wow! Great images! I'm going to India next month and will spend a few days there. Any particular tips for Varanasi? I'm heading over to your 500px page now.
there is nothing more for me to add as it has all been said already. I really really really want to go there. I'm sure my new XE2 kit would love the journey.
Wow, nice photo's! I really love the atmosphere that you put into the pictures.
Can you tell me your experience with this combo.
The shots are great.
