Re: Mine for this Weeks all with the M1 with the ZD300 + EC14

Great look in to some wetlands species. I appreciate how you capture the bird and habitat.

Re: From South Florida

I really like the shot of the Green. It's like being in the mangroves with the bird.

Re: First shots with the ZD50-200+EC-14

I like them all but the Nuthatch the most. These sure make the case for the 50-200 +1.4.

South Florida Deja Vu

These pics may be oddly familiar since they were taken as Milt and I walked around Wako together.  He with EM1 and 75-300, me with EM1 and his Sigma 50-500, plus some with my 50-200.  Hope you enjoy... again!

These are with 50-200.

Thanks.

A first for me....despite the weather!

I decided to go for a walk in the countryside yesterday. I got all my camo gear on and headed for a field about ten miles from home. The aim was a decent head-on shot of a red kite, but the gale-force winds put that idea to rest!

I did, however, get my first ever sighting of a peregrine. Mercilessly cropped from a tiny portion of a shaky frame (too windy to even stand up straight!). It was enough to make the day worthwhile

And a couple more from the past couple of weeks.

A dunnock, shot with the 300 f4 L and Kenko 1.4x tc

And a red kite, with the same lens/extender combo.

It has been so cold here in PA...I am making sure that all the birds get lots of goodies...they love home made suet...i crumble some of that up too & mix with their seed so all the other birds who don't go to the suet feeder get some

Male Red-bellied Woodpecker keeping tight to the pine tree & outta the wind...

Blue Jay

Male Northern Cardinal posing...

Female Northern Cardinal

Black-capped Chickadee

Carolina Wren...my little Buddie...I shot this one from my blind...he flies in to see me & even landed on my lens once, LOL...very curious

Your 5% crops are about as sharp as my full frame shots (have to be careful, full sensor)! Hope you are a long way from the fires!
