Nikon D300 Problem

When taking shots of ducks on water or in the sky my D300 often, but not always, produces images that have purple, blue, or yellow colors that affect the right side of the image.  Always the right side.  I am at a loss to figure this one out.  Any ideas?

Is this a trick question?

Only when taking shots of ducks? Everything is fine with cats, trees or people? And only ducks on water? How about on land?

It would help if you post one of the subject images.
