I was forced to use slow shutter speeds, in order to blur the airplane propellers.

But you can choose much faster shutter speeds, which should help a lot.

I also turn off image stabilisation for fast panning like that (I believe panning confuses the IS and makes things worse not better). Initially, IS does help... but once your panning and hand-holding technique reaches a certain level, I think you can get sharper photos with IS turned off.

But again, faster shutter speeds should help, if you want to turn off IS. (The faster your shutter speeds, the less IS is needed anyway).

Re: Recommend a red dot sight for existing camera?

. If you search for "red dot sight" on Amazon you'll see a number of them including this red-green sight which is the same one that Brando bundles. This same item is sold under a LOT of different names, some red-green and some red only. (The red-only ones have more different levels of brightness.)

hi my first post and I want to thanks all for contributing in clarfy my mind:-)

Re to this topic I just bought a Xtend-a-Sight Plus n looking for RDS... I understood it is important the mount weave.. so my question is the one you highlighted does it perfectly fit on the 3/8 mount of the X stand or need rework?

does it work well in dark? I am planning to use as star finder

I found this >>one<< which I am tempted to buy... do you think will fit the mount of the Xstand?
