330HS 10 image panoramic

With the great reviews of the 330HS on this forum and by other Internet camera reviewers, I purchased one to supplement my non-pocketable cameras. IMHO, the IQ is outstanding and better than any other camera near its size.

This handheld panoramic was stitched together in Photoshop CS6 from 10 images taken from a cruise ship deck in St. Maarten.

The camera settings are: ISO-80, 24mm FL, f/5, 1/640 to 1/800 sec, -1/3 stop exposure compensation.

The exposure varied by about 1/2 stop between images. I could have eliminated this difference with the exposure compensation, but being handheld, I keep all my attention on the horizontal and vertical alignments and overlaps. Not a problem since Photoshop does a great job blending pano exposure variations.

It's best to view this pano full size and scroll horizontally.

That's freakin' amazing! The detail you've captured is incredible and the color is beautiful. That speaks volumes for the capability of the 330 HS. I'm very impressed. Very nicely done!

Its staggering, I am very impressed with the overall appearance, the detail and just about everything else about it.  It shure is a tempting very small camera.

Thank both of you for your comments. Most of the landscape is at a distance during a hot day, sea haze and very windy conditions which doesn't help fine details. Look at the closer structures and hill side vegetation at the right side of the pano for a better appreciation of what this camera can do.
