nx30 hype mkii

How is the nx30 going to be any different form the galaxy nx or the nx300 for picture quality when used with the same lens? 16-50.

i know its water/dust proof (awesome) and has faster shutter speed (i never go above 1;500), custom slots (cool) an EVF (cool but never used one) built in flash(i got one with my nx300 that slides on top how is built in better) record better video an sound (cool but i never use it)

also its advatised that it has 9fps is this raw or jpeg will people still moan about buffer

As for nx30 samples pictures what lens are we seeing them from the 16-50 f2/f2.8 or the f.3.5/f5 an witch one will come with it?

my last point is all this extra going too cost i mean nx300-£470, nx20-£700, galaxy nx-£1399 nx30 (maybe £1600) an its not even full frame...

just curious if to sell my nx300 and just get a nx30 or wait an just buy the lens

maybe your best bet would to be prudent and hang on a while, until the camera is actually in the hands of normal people, not reviewers, who will use it for everday shots. Only then will we get some idea of any problems that may exist with this camera.

Well I would say,

  1. For now it ticked all upgrade boxes fo existing NX20 camera users.
  2. For NX300 users who's looking to go for a DSLR like body, it ticked a few worth consideration boxes.

Re: nx30 hype mkii

Very wise advice.

My idea is: depends on price and on processing speed and af differences.

I'd really like an evf, though I don't like mini dslr like body (I prefer rangefinder like ala gx7). I like nx300, but I'd like a jump up in dr, high iso and processing speed/buffer depth.

Will nx30 deliver those improvements? If so, at what price? Only time will tell.

That's a typical response from people who know nothing about Samsung cameras, and view the Korean manufaturer as a maker of only washing machines.  If people would only go into the idea. with an open mind, thye would also get their eye's opened too. I got all this type of remarks when I bought my GX10 years ago, and the prejudice clearly still exists. I was hearing things like "it is a Pentax camera with a Samsung badge, why would you want THAT?" I did it initially to save myself hundreds of pounds, and have never regreted it for even one day. I only use Samsung gear now, and I can't see that changing in the future.

hello, it's been a while

yes, the lens is sealed for sure. It's not clear if nx30 is sealed as well, since there is no official mention about this.

I see no reason to tempt me to replace my NX20, basically the same sensor so no noticeable improvement in image quality. Good news for me as I couldn't afford to change camera this year anyway.

Must add - I see touch screen as a negative, not a positive

Well, that may be the case for the lens, but if you read the DPR hands on mini review on the front page here. They clearly say the camera, NX30 is NOT sealed. Of course, it could be a mistake. If it is the case, that the NX 30 is not sealed, and the lens is. There must be another higher, speced camera to be anounced, oterwise there would be no point at all in sealing the lens, would there?
