EX1 remote control

I have bought a Samsung SRC-A5 remote control off Ebay for my EX1 but am a little underwhelmed with it! Despite having been advertised as brand new in original packaging, it came in a Jiffy envelope with no instructions.

It works, at least to control the zoom function, and trigger the shutter but I can only trigger the shutter in single frame mode, and then there is a 2 second delay. What I wanted to do was trigger the shutter while in bracketing mode but it it won't do that. Add to that I have to go into the menu and enable the remote each time I turn on the camera, and I'm wondering just how useful this little gizmo actually is.

There are buttons on the remote to access the menu but that function doesn't work. So, have I bought a duffer, or is this all the remote is actually capable of?

Re: EX1 remote control

Assuming the original packing is not a jiffy bag I would raise a complaint with eBay and get your money back. I would waste no more time with the thing.

Re: EX1 remote control

I have thanks greynerd. I just wondered what functions actually do work with the EX1.
