All these are impressive KM141

Can these lenses be mounted on a Sigma dSLR camera too ?

Is there a special advantage in using the Sigma DP compacts ??

My Sigma cameras include SD15(moded to EF mount), SD1M(now undergoing modification to EF mount), DP2M(moded to Leica M mount), DP2X(moded to EF mount), and 2 intact DCs (DP1M & DP3M). And I am invited to test a newly moded DP3M using a Copal mechanical shutter.

As to your question, those lenses I put up in this thread can all be connected to SD1M and SD15. The results on SD1M are not so promising due to the phenominon of green corners and red centre. The results on SD15 are quite decent. I checked from the infos and found both SD15 and DP2X use the same sensor and cpu, but it is found that when using the same lens, the DP2X always does better than the SD15. I don't know why.

Probably because the IR filter is located in a better position right over sensor like it was on sd9

Yes, this is a good possible answer.

The camera takes photos, not the evf.

Very interesting. Which mount? This works with the original shutter or is a new fitted?

Mine is an EF mount, though a lot of mounts are available from Leica-M to Hassel. Unfortunately, the E-mount and m4/3 mount are not possible. My camera now uses a newly installed electronic shutter, some models use Copal machanical shuters.

Very interesting. Very nice photos. I'd br interested in m42 mount. How did you get them converted. Was the shutter part of the package?

An expert in Western China did the conversion for me, yes, the shutter is included in the package. I am advised to take the EF mount, because with the aid of adapter mounts I can easily use Leica R, Contax/Yashica, m42, Nikon ai/nonai, Pentax K, Exakta, & OM lenses.

Is focusconfirm possible? or do i not yet understand the difference to DSLR?

What FLs are possible with e.g. DP3M? any? Which is the widest lens with equal quality like DP1M?

Re: Old lenses on dp2x

1. no focus confirm.

2. for all the three merill dps, only the dp3m yields acceptable results where the "green edge red center" phenominum is kept least. But there is no such problem on old X3 sensor, and that is why I chose to mod a dp2x.

3. I have the honor to test a Leica M mount/with copal shutter moded dp3m, and found it can produce expected results form lenses of all focal lengths. The expert in West China is now working on the remounting of the dp2q.

I wonder why. How come that it works fine on the converted DP camera but not on SD1?

The old X3 sensor does not have the problem of "green coerners and red center" problem.

For those who have tried to connect an old MF lens on a SD1M know where the problem is.

The camera takes photos, not the evf.

And the focussing-rings are offered on ebay.
