Re: case for RX10?

Now looking myself,

with my hand strap, shoulder strap, front uv filter, the size of the camera gets bigger, puts it over the edge of many compact bags. min. now for me 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" x 5-1/2" (110,140,140 mm)

compact, inexpensive perhaps, (free shipping direct from china, hmm, against my rules, but, price is ..., I don't know, small note says, import dutes, charges, etc. not included)

anyone know what that might add up to for this size item? similar domestic version?

here is one for someone who wants a big flash, extra batteries, and bring the ipad along

Re: case for RX10?

I'm using a ThnkTank Mirrorless Mover 10 - it fits the camera perfectly and has a small outside pocket for an extra battery.  Very minimalistic which is what I was looking for.

I had something similar on my NEX and really like how fast and easy it is. No idea how well the RX10 version works, though.

Thanks for the link. It's worth a try...

We shall see, I ordered it.

It is the perfect size for me, (smaller than it looks). camera, charger, 2 extra batteries, uv filter, memory card, the whole kit. Seller has 99% positive feedback.

I wrote, there are no extra charges, I ordered it yesterday, payed with PayPal, total cost $11.73. as listed.

It shipped already, with tracking #. Takes a while from China, free, epacket, expected Jan 11-22. They flag the long delivery on the listing so you know that ahead of time.

Sony NEX official case is $13 @ Amazon. You can put the RX10 in here with the hood on and have a little room left over for spare batteries, etc. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B005KG3KNI

Re: case for RX10?

I use the Lowepro Apex 110 AW. A perfect fit for the RX10 with lens hood on and room for extra batteries and memory cards. Note the extra protection for the LCD to the right!

I had something similar on my NEX and really like how fast and easy it is. No idea how well the RX10 version works, though.

Price on the RX10 "leather case" has dropped to $15 shipped on EBay. Search for "RX10 leather case"; I assume all the different Chinese sellers are getting their products from the same factory. I went ahead and bought one. It is not real top grain leather (obviously at this price), but it looks decent (I bought the black color). Fit is good but not perfect, mostly because the RX10 viewfinder bulges out from the back so the case has to work around that. You do have to reverse the hood inside the case. Ease of use is pretty good; the lower half of the case stays attached to your camera when you are shooting and the upper half of the case hangs off of it so you never have to find somewhere to drop the case. It is not the perfect case, but nothing else I have seen is perfect either, and I am satisfied at this price.
