Nikkor 18-35mm g on D7000?
Go for it. Awesome lens - but a bit heavy.
Hello, any experience with this lens for landscape and street photography on d7000...? I have nikon 35mm 1.8 but look for a bite wide field?
I have it. I love it. Yes its good for landscape. While I have not used it for street photography, I am confident that it can give you good images, but it is not as discreet as a prime. I use it in live-view mostly (Contrast Detect) as I have had some focusing issues otherwise, but my usb dock is arriving tomorrow and I am hopeful that I will be able to successfully fine-tune it. I also have the 35 f1.8 and I have used it for street photography. It works very well. It does give more CA wide open than the sigma.
I'm going to assume you meant the Nikon 18-35mm f3.5-4.5 and not the Sigma 18-35mm f1.8. If I'm right, the 18-35mm f3.5-4.5 is sort of pointless on DX, it's a decent performer but it's not any better optically than a 18-55mm or 18-105mm on DX. Save the 18-35mm for a future FX camera.

My thoughts exactly. I'm actually using one on my D5100 while waiting to purchase a D610. It works well enough, but it would be somewhat foolish to dump $700 on it if you're only going to be shooting DX for years to come.
Even if you plan on upgrading to FX sometime in the medium-to-distant future, I'd bet the 18-35G pricing will come down some within the next year.
No doubt, though, this is a phenomenal lens on FX. Briefly had a D600 (returned due to oil) and it curb-stomped my Canon 6D+17-40L setup.
