What are good sale prices for hard drives and SSDs now?

I've not kept up with the pre Christmas prices of hard drives or SSDs. I'm thinking about buying a 2 or 3 TB hard drive and a 120-128 GB SSD on Christmas sales now. But not having kept up with pre Christmas prices, I don't know what's a bargain or not.

So about how much is a bargain price for a:

  1. 2 TB, 7200 rpm, SATA III hard drive?
  2. 3 TB, 7200 rpm, SATA III hard drive?
  3. 120GB or 128GB MLC SSD?

Is a MLC SSD noticeably faster than a TLC SSD in actual use?

FINALLY, since I missed the Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales, would it be better to wait for after Christmas sales?  I don't need the drives right a way.

Thanks,
Sky

I've seen decent deals on Amazon and Newegg, you can also check out deal sites like dealnews (I have no relation to them) and even get price alarms from sites like camelcamelcamel.

For a 2TB HDD $70.00 is good, for a 3TB HDD $110.00 is a bargain. Good 128 GB SSDs can be had for $70.

I shop at Newegg and use techbargains.com for other bargains.

50/50 chance, I'd watch newegg.com every 2 days if I were you.

Thanks for your input.

Photosen, Rebel99, Chesteracorgi, SushiEater and Glasswave,

Thanks much for your input.
I ended up buying a Segate 2TB 7200rpm HDD and a Samsung 840 EVO 120GB SSD.
