Shooting Christmas lights with 6D

I want to shoot the Christmas lights around my neighborhood this evening. I will use the 6D and Canon 24-105. I will shoot jpegs only. Can I get some opinions on the best and easiest settings?

Here's a few I shot at the Houston Zoo on assignment for the Houston Chronicle. The EXIF info should be visible. Recommend shooting raw and using a tripod. My favorites incorporate people, too:
