I try to remain brand-agnostic, but it is concepts like this that make me really appreciate Ricoh.

Plus, I grew up in Tokyo, so the symbol and support movies are very nostalgic for me.

Technically poor video under the guise of pretentious 'art'? Sorry, gotta be honest but the GR's inferior video quality and lack of image stabilization really does not lend itself to making good video. But then I believe most owners do not purchase the GR for video.

To me it's the idea behind it that speaks to the ethos behind Ricoh and the GR.

Clearly, its a promotional move.  What I like is that it engages the use of GR in a creative way beyond the limitations of the technology.

Hi Ricoh,

Please update firmware with manual exposure (and also ND activation) during Video mode. Especially if you want to promote video making with the GR..lol! And while you're at it, improve the codecs and internal processing so it actually shoots decent, clear, crisp videos without all the artifacts, blotchiness, noise, etc. Make it at least on par with Canon, Sony and/or Nikon apsc cameras.

Peace

The rules say you don't have to use the agar to film

But you must show the GR at least once in the video.   I think the realize this.
