Faulty too many times Lexmark Platinum Pro905

This printer has been nothing but a huge headache. They have a 5 year warranty but you keep thinking that they will get the software right. Well they have not. It sucks. They have sent me 3 printers as of this date and I have called their Tech Support for help too many times. Now I can print one document but have to shut down my computer and unplug the printer and plug it back in 20 seconds later....sometimes it works but sometimes I have to repeat to get one document to work. The quality of the prints is excellent, the support and drivers are the problem. I guess I will have to return to HP or try out Epson. Sorry but the truth hurts. No stars for this model.

Not a Review

By all means tell us about your difficulties and someone here may be able to help but don't pretend this is a review because it's not. There's no detail, not even about the problems.

Re: Not a Review

Thanks for clarifying the nature of my post. My intention was to warn folks about all of the problems I have had with this model....3 different printers. To be more clear, my first model was a Pinnicle which is the same printer only with one paper tray. In an attempt to soothe my frustration with the very first model, they sent the Platinum Pro905. I have read numerous good reviews on this printer so apparently I have received printers from a bad batch of printers. Sorry for any confusion but I doo not want anyone to go through what I have.. I have spent so much time on the Phone to Lexmark about these printers. I have never owned an Epson and to be honest I really don't need an expensive printer. Less than 100 copies per month I would guess. I have always owned HP but the cost of ink is what drove me to Lexmark... All the best

Re: Not a Review for more clarity

I went back and read my post and the way this site is set up, any reply is considered a review, which was not my intention. But since I was asked about the post I wanted to let folks know about what my experience was. All three of these printers could not communicate with my computer after a short time. I believe there is corruption in the software, but it is just a guess. I was using wireless because we have more than one computer in the home. Today I tried something different, instead of wireless or USB I have connected to an Ethernet cable and so I will see if this will solve my dilemma. I have purchased a bunch of cartridges and need to use them up before I consider getting a different printer...that's if the Ethernet Cable fails to work for me. Thanks for you indulgence. Still hoping to hear from anyone with similar experience who might offer up a solution.
