WiFi+SD cards to connect Sigma DP2x + Ipad?

Hello,

At least one user succeeded to transfer JPEG files from DP2x to Ipad with camera connection kit (SD-slot).

Has anyone tried WiFi+SD cards (either Eye-Fi or Transcend) with Sigma cameras?

I've used the EyeFi cards from a Sigma DP1 (not M) to transfer JPG files from the camera to a computer.  It worked pretty well, I had a kind of photo kiosk outdoors and the photos showed up where I wanted on the laptop.

I've not tried it on the newer DP-M cameras, but in theory it should work.  In fact the non-Pro EyeFi cards might be better as they would only transfer the JPG files, the RAW images would be a lot of data...

One thing to keep in mind is that you'll want to set the camera to stay awake at least a minute so the transfer of all the files can complete.

I've also used the camera connection kit on an iPad, that works pretty well too.

Thanks a lot for the reply. My scenario is "taking Ipad to a holiday trip to match newly photos on a larger screen". Now it seems to me that using Camera Connection Kit is a more reliable solution. And for the moment X3F files will not open on Ipad anyways.

But, maybe you know, whether Eye-Fi cards allow to transfer the photos after shooting, but not instantly?
