As I couldn`t find the Schneider-Kreuznach D-Xenon 50-200 on DPR, I chose the Samsung for Image Purposes.

I was lucky to pick up this Quality Piece of a Lens for just 95,- AU $.

And what can I say, it fulfills everything you expect from it.Lightweight, Sharp and easy to handle(I shoot mainly manual).

The downside though is, that this Lens needs a lot of Light.

Hi,

I was looking for an inexpensive 50-200 mm lens for my Samsung NX1000.. Are you using this on your NX? would this work well? what about the auto focus is it working as well? good day

I'll let the OP answer that one but my impression is that it is indeed an old lens from the DSLR times where Samsung was rebadging Pentax DSLRs (K10 & K20).

If it is the case, this is a K-mount lens which can only be used on NX via an adapter (a Samsung adapter exists for these lenses). It allows to use Pentax K lenses without AF but with aperture control.

The lens is actually a Pentax lens rebadged as a Schneider lens for Samsung... a bit complicated but it's marketing... I think you'd be better of with a NX50-200 OIS...

Do Schneider-Kreuznach branded lenses exist for NX series ? I've only seen some on the GX series, which were something else and without direct compatibility (Pentax mount).

is an old lens and it has a Pentax KAF, (IIRC), lens mount. I have thie exact same lens here. it was bought with the twin lens package of my Samsung GX10 camera. It is not a quality lens, just a basic kit lens, as you say rebadged for the GX10, and in fact manufactered by Pentax.

No, there is no native NX lens that is badged with "Schneider-Kreuznach".

As said before, there's a bunch of such lenses with Pentax K mount that were sold as kit lens with the Samsung DSLR models and some others. Theoretically, you can use them with an adapter and manual aperture and manual focussing on the NX. But: they are all rebadged Pentax lenses. Not one of them had anything to do with Schneider-Kreuznach. So basically... avoid them. Or at least don't think they are worth a fortune.

Here's a test of the Pentax 50-200 sample:
