NX300 Focusing Questions

I was wondering how well the NX300 focuses in low light situations? Is it better than the NX210?

For those of you with the NX300 who have used manual focus, how are your results with the focus peaking?

Thanks for your comments!

Re: NX300 Focusing Questions

In my personal experience, it focuses better than my older nx200. I don't own the nx210, though.

Re: NX300 Focusing Questions

The trick with mirrorless cameras is to focus on a high contrast point, light levels don't matter too much.  They can focus in very low light as long as there is a bright point in the image like a reflection off an eye.

These 3 shots are the same shot.  The first is the cameras exposure, the 2nd is my modified exposure, and the 3rd is a tight crop of the eye.

The 45mm f/1.8 focused without any issue on the horses eye, it focused very quickly.
