Canon 85 1.8 and T2i (550D) -- AF accuracy

Hey there,

recently I got a brandnew Canon 85 1.8 for my T2i. One thing I'm not too happy about is, that AF accuracy is quite unpredictable: Sometimes it works quite well, sometimes it's way off.

So far I couldn't figure out if there's a special sort of images that my combo doesn't like (T2i+85 1.8).

My other lenses (4) focus (very) good on this body, even the 50 1.4 .

Is the 85 1.8 a "tricky" lens for AF? BTW, I only use center AF point all the time.

Cheers, Medon

It shouldn't be any worse than your 50/1.4, but I see random focus issues with both my 50/1.4 and 85/1.8 that I just don't see on my 135L.  Using a 7D btw.
